Shipping
International Shipping
The amount to be paid at the time of purchase includes the total price of the items and shipping fee. Additionally, after shipping, import taxes, VAT (Value Added Tax), customs fees, and local fees may be required. In such cases, you will be responsible for covering these costs.
We will ship your ordered items using DHL, FedEx, and Japan Post delivery services.
Shipping Fee
Free Shipping with $120 Purchase (Excluding Some Countries)
・For purchases under $120, there will be a $15 shipping fee.
・If you place an order for items with both 'Free Shipping' and ‘non-Free Shipping' labels simultaneously, all items will qualify for free shipping.
・However, an additional shipping charge of $12 is required for shipments to the following countries. Please note that this $12 charge will apply even if your cart includes a free shipping item and the total cart amount exceeds the $120 free shipping threshold.
The figures above are in US dollars. The qualifying amount for free shipping may vary depending on the currency used.
Regardless of the above, additional shipping charges may apply if the delivery address is in a remote area. If this is the case, we will contact you after placing your order.
Shipping Preparation Time
Because our artworks are primarily handcrafted, we ship within 2-4 business days of receiving your order. If it takes longer than the estimated shipping time above, we will contact you directly.
Delivery Days
For delivery by DHL, it usually takes 3-5 days after we ship. However, if international shipping conditions are difficult or your address is remote, it may take 10-20 days.
Delivery days refer to the number of days counted from the date when we dispatch the items from our store to the customer. Additionally, weekends and public holidays may not be included in the delivery timeframe.
The time required for delivery depends on the delivery service and customs situation in each country, as well as on other factors such as natural disasters and other accidents. We cannot make any guarantees concerning delivery times.
Customs Clearance
Please note that some countries may require parcels to be opened for customs inspection. Our store cannot be held responsible for any actions taken by customs officials.
We cannot accept requests to return or exchange items, or provide refunds, etc. for items lost or damaged during customs inspections.
In Case of Refusal or Inability to Receive the Order
In the event of long-term absence, refusal to receive the parcel, or loss of address, the parcel will be stored at the delivery store for a certain period of time, regardless of the reason. After the storage period has expired, the package will be returned to us. Please make sure to receive your package within this period.
If you do not receive your order, you will be charged the shipping fee that we paid.

Interior Calligraphy's artworks are individually handcrafted, making each piece a one-of-a-kind item. We meticulously create them with care, aiming to bring joy to all of our customers. Therefore, there may be slight variations between the item photos on our store (Interior Calligraphy) and the actual items, as each piece is unique. Consequently, items may only be returned if they are damaged during shipment, defective, or otherwise authorized for return or exchange by Interior Calligraphy. Thank you for your understanding.
In Case of Serious Damage to the Package Upon Delivery
While we make every effort to ensure careful packing, if you notice any unexpected damage upon delivery, simply refuse to accept the package and inspect its contents together with the local delivery personnel.
In Case of Damage or Defects of the Delivered Items
If your received items arrive damaged or defective, please contact us through the Customer Support Inquiry Form within 7 days of delivery, providing your order number and detailed photos of the damage.
When Interior Calligraphy acknowledges item damage or defects, customers have the option to return the item or request a reshipment of the same item.
When Interior Calligraphy acknowledges item damage or defects, and the customer wishes to return it, the return process shall be carried out according to the method specified by Interior Calligraphy.
If Interior Calligraphy approves the return of a item, but the customer does not return the item using the method specified by Interior Calligraphy, and if the customer cannot be contacted within 10 days after Interior Calligraphy has attempted to reach out, the customer will be considered to have abandoned the return of the item. Please note that returns will not be accepted after this point.
Important Notes on Artworks
Interior Calligraphy's artworks are handcrafted using the technique of "Shodo", Japanese calligraphy.
Therefore, unlike printed characters produced by machines such as printers, the ink and seal may smudge. Please handle with care to avoid rubbing or touching the characters written in the black Shodo-ink or the seal in the red Shodo-ink, as well as avoiding stacking items on top of them. Also, please refrain from getting the artworks wet. Particularly, the red Shodo-ink used for the seal contains oil, which may never completely dry even after years.
Additionally, the washi paper used in our artworks may contain slight fibers or impurities from the raw materials used in its production. This is a characteristic of washi paper and adds to the unique charm of handcrafted items. We kindly ask for your understanding of this characteristic before making your purchase.
Please note that returns or exchanges are not accepted once the item has been opened or used by the customer.

Unfortunately, due to international shipping constraints, we are unable to accommodate specific delivery date and time requests.

If your package has not arrived by the expected delivery date and you have not received any communication from the delivery carrier or customs, please contact the nearest delivery carrier or customs office yourself, providing your tracking number.
If a shipment is held up in your country of residence, the logistics company (and possibly the customs authorities) must be able to contact you. Failure to contact the customer may delay the import clearance of the goods or cause the shipment to be returned to Interior Calligraphy. Therefore, for example, DHL requires your telephone number to be provided at the time of shipment. Please understand.
Of course, ordering from Japan is simple. You can place your order in Japanese yen and use either credit card or PayPal for payment. Your order will be delivered to your doorstep within a few days via Japan Post.
Charges such as customs duties, value-added tax (VAT), and customs fees may be imposed by governments or local delivery companies depending on the country or region to which items are sent, and customers may be required to pay such charges separately when accepting delivery.

However, please note that orders cannot be canceled under any circumstances in the following situations:
1.We are unable to accept changes or cancellations after the items have been shipped.
2.In the case of custom orders, cancellations are eligible for a full refund if requested within 24 hours of payment and before the manufacturing process begins. Please be aware that once the manufacturing process has started, no refunds will be possible for any cancellations, so please kindly acknowledge this policy.
